Since 2005, the vetiver grass has been used by the management board of the Huong River in Thua Thien Hue province to combat the erosion of land on both sides of the Huong River and tributaries Xuoc Du River, Bo River, and others. At present the area and extent of use of vetiver grass species is limited, the cause may be due to having not enough seeds and planting materials. This article introduces some breeding results of the vetiver grass in Hue City in order to meet the demand of a large number of planting materials today.
