The species composition of medicinal herbs used by the Thai minority, Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district, Nghe An province is fairly diverse. They belong to 191 species, 153 genera and 71 families in 3 divisions (Polypodiophyta, Pinophyta and Magnoliophyta). The largest division is the Magnoliophyta which comprises about 97.7% of all species. The families with highest number of species are: Euphorbiaceae, Araceae, Verbenaceae, Asteraceae, Caesalpiniaceae, Moraceae, Asclepiadaceae, Menispermaceae, Acanthaceae, and Apocynaceae. An analysis of life-forms, distribution, parts used, and manner of use was conducted.
