The dipterocarp forest in the Tay Ninh area becomes rare due to the exploitation during the 1980s. However in Logo Xa Mat National Park, we still have opportunity to study the last stands of dipterocarp forest there. The structure of the area is characterized by the presence of the pure Dipterocarpus dyeri species together with diverse forest types in the wetland area. Good conservation and management of the forest will give an excellent opportunity for scientist to conduct further studies of the dipterocarp forest which has become more rare in Vietnam.
