Study on ecological association between Afzelia xylocarpa and some trees in evergreen tropical forest in Cat Tien national Park

Last modified on 19/4/2011 at 4:14:00 PM. Total 2307 views.

The study makes clear the ecological dependency among tree species: Afzelia xylocarpa, Lagestromia ovalifolia, Syzygium sp., Dalbergia mammosa. The findings showed that two ecologically dependent tree groups eminently existed: Afzelia xylocarpa - Lagestromia ovalifolia - Syzygium sp. - Dalbergia mammosa and D. alatus - Syzygium sp. It is necessary to maintain the ecological relationships of plant communities in the evergreen tropical rain forest in Cat Tien National Park.
