Tien Giang, a province of the Mekong River Delta, has 4 islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix. These islands are well-known for their many fresh, green orchards and fruits. The natural conditions are favorable: cool temperature, many rivers and canals, fertile alluvial soils. The home gardens on these islands are attraction for the inland and foreign tourists. The sources of income for the people are garden products, agriculture and tourism. It is necessary to help the farmers with funding to improve the gardens and with planning to develop ecotourism.
