This paper presents the results of the study on the garden ecosystems in Khanh Son district. The results have shown that the diversity of the garden ecosystems have created an artificial vegetation cover that is both economically and environmentally important. Breeding is not developed and cattle mostly are left unbridled. The aesthetic value of the gardens is not high. The economic effect of each garden model depends on the investment, technological knowledge of the farmer, plant species composition and market situation. Based on the results, some recommendations have been made in order to support sustainable development of the garden ecosystems.
