In this article, we used the softwares PAUP* (ver. 4.0 b10) and Tree View to infer phylogenetic relationships among subfamilies, tribes and genera in Sapindaceae Juss. in Vietnam. We analysed morphological characters of 25 genera in Sapindaceae in Vietnam, arranged in Takhtajan’s opinion (1964), then we put these data in PAUP and used Tree View to show results. Our results have showed that the limit of 2 subfamilies and 9 tribes are fairly distinct. They also showed the place and relationship of taxa are approximate to Takhtajan’s system (1997) but some taxa such as Sapindeae, Lepisantheae (that are more evolutionary advanced than Cupanieae, Schleichereae and Nephelieae) and specially Glenniea (it is separated from Lepisantheae) seem opposite to modern viewpoint. So we think it is necessary to combine data from anatomy, molecular biology, biological chemistry, etc. to establish relationship of taxa in Sapindaceae in Vietnam.
